Use this guide to understand the labels used across Zeemods products, so you know exactly what standard of sound you’re getting before you buy.

What does the generation label mean?

The generation label (G3, G4, G5, G5+ etc.) represents the sound design standard of a product.

As time goes on, new recording methods, editing techniques, implementation improvements, and additional in-game features shape each new generation. In simple terms, the higher the generation, the more advanced and refined the overall product standard is.

G5

G5 (5th Generation) marked a major step forward for Zeemods products, introducing a more complete and immersive sound experience through:

• 360° recording and processing for improved spatial realism
• Enhanced balance, depth, and perspective across interior, exterior, and pass-by views
• Full ZAF integration, enabling expanded in-game sound functionality and features

G5 set the foundation for a more realistic and technically advanced presentation of engine audio in ATS and ETS2.

G5+

G5+ is now our latest and highest sound standard.

It builds on the full G5 foundation, but pushes the overall presentation even further with new methods, improved balancing, and more advanced spatial tuning throughout the pack.

G5+ is not about making things artificially louder or exaggerated. It is about making the truck sound more believable, more natural, and more accurately placed in the world around you.

What G5+ includes

• More believable sound positioning
  The engine feels properly located in front of the driver, turbo detail feels more naturally placed, and exhaust information is presented with much clearer separation.
• Improved engine and exhaust definition
  Better separation between sound sources creates a richer, deeper, and more realistic tone without turning the mix muddy or overblown.
• More realistic exhaust presentation
  Exhaust behaves more like it should, sounding properly tied to the truck and pipe location rather than feeling smeared or detached. This also improves exterior perspectives and pass-bys.
• Refined in-cab atmosphere
  Cabin attenuation, resonance, and level balance have been further refined to create a more convincing interior soundscape, with better headroom for switches, interior effects, GPS, radio, and other supporting sounds.
• A more advanced overall in-game mix
  Everything is presented in a cleaner, more controlled, and more realistic way, resulting in a sound pack that feels closer to sitting in a real truck.

Because these developments move the overall standard forward in a meaningful way, any pack updated to this level is now marked as G5+.
